Parent Bulletin No.7
Dear Parent/Carer
I hope you had a pleasant half term and have returned refreshed and recharged.
We marked Armistice Day today with a two-minute silence along with several activities to raise money for the British Legion. It was lovely to see some of our student Cadets in their uniform.
Next week is anti-bulling week and further information can be found in the link below:
On Monday we are encouraging students to wear odd socks in support of this initiative and we will post pictures of the best ones on our social media channels.
Yesterday our GCSE MFL students travelled to Bangor University to further learn the importance of studying a language. Students attended a variety of lectures and workshops with some outstanding speakers and I am sure that this will not only help their GCSE studies but also inspire them to think of some future careers.
Home Learning – From next week, If your child is absent from school for a period of time due to Covid or any other absence, we recommend that students use the following instructions in order to access work:
1. Find the Teams page of the subject that they are missing
2. Click on to the Class Teams page and click on “files”
3. You should then see a folder called Learning Plans – Click on this to find out what topic they are
working on.
4. There may be resources on this page PPTs etc that students can use to complete work
5. If there are no PPTs or lessons available, please type in the name of the topic to either:
GCSE Learning and Revision | GCSEPod or BBC Bitesize Home – BBC Bitesize and complete activities based on this topic
Thank you to all those parents who have supported the changes to our parking and drop offs, it has certainly helped reduce congestion this week. It is important we continue to stick to this while the new school is being constructed. If you are unsure of the arrangements, please contact us at the school.
