Dear Parent/Carer
I hope you and your family are well. I will keep the newsletter brief this week but I do have two important announcements.
Construction of our new school
Construction of the new school campus will begin on Monday, October 24. Initially the first phase will focus on creating a new access entrance and a compound for the building team to keep them separate from school. Unfortunately, this may mean some added congestion at the main entrance. Can I ask then that where students can travel to school by walking or cycling that they do so. If parents do need to drop off or collect by car then use the rear entrance of school. The Argoed Sports Association car park is available if needed.
School Production – Matilda
The curtains go up on our latest extravaganza this week. Despite putting on an additional performance on Saturday all tickets have now sold out. The staff and cast have worked incredibly hard to put on what looks to be yet another amazing show. I hope those of you lucky enough to get a ticket enjoy the performance and I look forward to seeing some of you there.
Breakfast and Homework Club
Breakfast club is available from 8:15 every morning and we also offer a homework club after school until 4pm every day. Should you wish for your child to attend either then please book them in via reception or email homeworkclub@argoedhs.co.uk.
