Parent Bulletin No.29

Dear Parent/Carer

Welcome back to the new term and I hope you all had a pleasant Easter Break. For our Year 11 students, and some in Year 10 this term is exam season. Staff will be doing all they can to ensure your child is as well prepared for their exams as possible, both during and outside of lessons. Please encourage them to compliment this with their own independent revision and exam preparation. Remind them that a few weeks hard work now will reap rewards for many years ahead.

Year 10 Parents Evening on Tuesday the 3rd May – This is a good opportunity to raise any concerns you may have.  Please book appointments in the usual way online.

Update on COVID Restrictions

Welsh Government have yet to release an update for schools on the latest restrictions they recommend so for now we will continue with our current safety systems and routines. I hope you all agree we must do all that we can to ensure our students remain in school, especially those students who have public exams coming up. We are running very low on face coverings so please ensure your child brings one to school.

Uniform, Punctuality and Attendance

Thank you to everyone who has responded positively to our message before the break reminding you of the importance of wearing the correct uniform and being punctual to school. These are important routines and habits that will be essential to students throughout their lives. Form tutors and Head of Years will continue to monitor this and contact you where needed. Please support us by ensuring your child follows the school code of conduct.
